Desert State Section: Student Awards Opportunity, Nov. workshops
Meanwhile Desert State is launching an awards program for students in design, technical production, and stage management, with the winners receiving a full Conference pass to USITT 2016 in Salt Lake City March 16-19, and a one-year student membership in USITT.
Interested students should submit materials including a professional resume, two letters of recommendation, portfolio or, for SMs, production materials, and a letter stating the applicants professional goals and how the award would further their career goals. Those who enter should be prepared to pay for their own transportation to and housing at the Conference, although Desert State will attempt to raise funds to defray these costs. The awards are open to Desert State Section members in good standing.
USITT’s Desert State Regional Section also is holding two workshops, Welding Basics and Scenic Painting, on Sat., Nov. 14 at Arizona State University. Info will be posted soon on the Desert State website.
