Wiki Established for Costume Job Description Project

Holly Monsos has established a wiki to more effectively update the Costume Design & Technology Commission's Job Descriptions Project and to encourage greater participation.

The original document, compiled by Maribeth Hite, was uploaded to a wiki by Ms. Monsos for comments and editing. The wiki consists of a page listing all the job descriptions, and then one page for each of the 16 jobs as copied from the original document. The document does need updating and expanding. For instance, the document does not mention the Internet, and wigs and make-up are listed in a single job description.

Although pages can be viewed without creating an account, anyone who does not already have a wiki account and wants to edit or comment must create an account. Anyone interested in assisting Ms. Monsos in administering the wiki, can contact her at holly.monsos@utoledo.edu.

Vectorworks for the TD Next in USITT Presents Lineup

Vectorworks for the Technical Director is the next USITT Presents event, a webinar on Monday, June 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. Nemetschek Vectorworks will show that Vectorworks Spotlight isn't just for lighting.

The webinar will show what it's like to draw in Vectorworks Spotlight software from a technical director's point of view and demonstrate how technical directors can use a scenic design model developed in Vectorworks Spotlight to create construction drawings, budget estimates, and other documents needed to build a production.

The cost of the webinar is $30 for USITT members, $20 for student/early career members, and $40 for non-members.
