Commission Changes name
The Health & Safety Commission is changing its name to the Safety & Health Commission. This change better represents the role of Commission members within USITT and more-closely aligns them with similar programs and organizations. The change was approved by USITT's Board of Directors at its August meeting.
To support this, the Commission has updated its Mission Statement:
Provides for training, education, and the exchange of information on all topics that affect the safety, health, and well-being of performers, technicians, and audience members.
Institute members are asked to note where the former name - Health & Safety – appears on websites and printed materials and send an e-mail to Commissioner Dave Glowacki, (david.glowacki@icloud.com) so corrections can be made.
