Members of the Long Beach Long Riders raffled off goodies to assist Tech Olympics and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Long Beach Long Riders are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of their benefit ride to Long Beach, CA and back.  All riders have returned safely to their respective home bases and, to date, a total of $20,000.00 in cash and services donated  has been raised.

Some of the statistics for the ride are:

• Number of donors to date is 144
• Number of website hits to date is 4,670
• The combined total number of miles ridden by all 8 bikes was in excess of 32,500
• The combined total number of gallons of gas used on the trip by all 8 bikes was a drop or two over 1,650. The chase car added another 80 gallons.  (It only went one way)
• The total number of bugs killed was 10,635, not including the chase vehicle.

The 13 members of the Long Beach Long Riders team, who hail from eight states and two Canadian provinces,  would like to thank all of the sponsors and donors for their generous support in helping to make this, the inaugural ride, an overwhelming success.
