USITT & SETC Partner on LiNK 2015 Weekend

USITT and SETC held the second LiNK theatre grad school recruiting weekend in Atlanta Nov. 13-15, attracting 51 schools with advanced degree programs and 73 aspiring students.

The event allowed candidates up-close access to many theatre programs seeking grad students at an affordable registration cost and conveniently located at the Atlanta Airport Hilton.

Students pursuing disciplines from acting and directing to management to costume design, scene design and props displayed their portfolios and examples of their work, and participated in face-to-face interviews with prospective programs.

One aspiring grad student called the event “a wonderful weekend” that went beyond his expectations.

“I was amazed by how much information I received in such a short period and I know for certain that LiNK will be instrumental in guiding me to the next step in my career,” he wrote.

Focal Press once again sponsored the LiNK Soiree Friday evening mixer and a bookstore at the event.

SETC’s Betsey Horth and USITT’s David Grindle welcome participants to LiNK 2015.

Aspiring students in acting and directing auditioned in front of college representatives on Friday of LiNK.
