ETC Names Veldey VP, Consolidates Identity

Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) recently named Mark Veldey as Vice President of Finance. Mr. Veldey will direct the financial strategy of the multi-million dollar international corporation. He joined the company as general counsel in 2002.

As an outside investment banker, Mr. Veley advised ETC on its successful acquisition of Transtechnik Lichtsysteme, Holzkirchen, Germany. After joining ETC, he directed the company's acquisition of AVAB France, IES, and Penko Engineering. CEO Fred Foster said "In his many roles with ETC, Mark has become completely familiar with our business and its culture. His broad set of skills has proved to be very valuable to us."

ETC also is taking steps to have those acquisitions known by one name, ETC. Transtechnik Lichtsysteme and IES will remain as strong brands within the greater ETC company portfolio.

Two Promoted at Stage Dec

Stage Decorations & Supplies has promoted two "key, dedicated employees."

Eric Lowell is the new president, succeeding Bob Thurston who is now CEO. Mr. Lowell has been with StageDec since 1988 and has served as corporate secretary since 1992.

Beth Cole has been promoted to vice president for finance. She has been with the company since 1999. Melanie Baynes, who joined the company in 1982, continues as vice president for production.

TMB to Distribute Chainmaster

Show Distribution Group has announced that TMB located in Pacoima, Los Angles, is now an authorized service center and distributor for its Chainmaster hoists on the West Coast.
