Northern Boundary Fall Conference
The Northern Boundary Regional Section will hold its annual Fall Conference September 16 and 17 at Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota. Details will be published in the Section’s August newsletter.
The Conference will include the "Cover the Walls" design exhibit featuring student design, production, and technology projects (three National Conference registrations will be awarded), Shakespearean Production Design Display (see more), membership meeting, and conference sessions through the day on Saturday.
USITT-SE Master Classes
USITT’s Southeast Regional Section holds its annual Master classes August 25-27 at Auburn University College of Liberal Artsin Auburn, AL. The weekend begins with a Thursday evening reception at the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities. Weekend events include tours of the Auburn University Football Stadium’s Video and Sound System, SEC Media Broadcast Center, and the Auburn Arena.
Classes will include Active Shooting Response with Auburn’s Emergency Management Team, Advanced Computer Plasma Cutting, and Computer Gaming as an Educational Tool. Panel presentations include Working for Disneyand EASL Classroom Design and Use. There will be hands-on projection classes, vendor presentations, a Design/Tech Expo, Sand Castle Construction Competition, Student Computer Gaming Competition, and much more.
