JR Clancy Honored at LDI

J.R. Clancy received more than just positive customer feedback at this year's LDI in Las Vegas about its PowerAssist Counterweight Automation System. It was awarded both the 2006 Live Design International Product of the Year in the Rigging and Staging category as well as the ESTA Dealers' Choice Product Award, Equipment Category for its PowerAssist.

"This year at LDI we were honored to receive both awards on top of the extraordinary feedback from attendees on the show floor. We were very happy with the response at the show before Saturday night's awards, but we were really happy on Sunday morning," says Tom Young, vice president of marketing for J.R. Clancy. The PowerAssist allows the consumer to automate existing counterweight rigging sets, as well as add motorized rigging to new projects in a cost-effective manner.

Both awards were presented during the LDI 2006 ‘Viva Las Vegas' awards ceremony on October 21. The Live Design Products of the Year Awards were chosen by panels of working designers, technicians, and consultants and represent the best products released since last fall's trade show season. The ESTA Dealers' Choice Product Awards recognize outstanding entertainment technology products; these awards were established in recognition of the fact that dealers have an enormous impact on the success of a new product, as well as a unique perspective on its merits.
