Cast Releases Vivien 1.1

Cast Software has released Vivien 1.1 which is described as an easy-to-use design software product for event and meeting professionals. The product's "do-it-yourself" format can be used by event production professionals for everything from corporate and special events, to meetings, tradeshows, expositions, even weddings.

Sapsis Active in New York City

Sapsis Rigging, Inc. was part of two recent events in New York City. The company provided equipment and labor for the Vertical Catwalk fashion show at Rockefeller Center where six models at a time walked up and down the side of the English Building on Fifth Avenue. The show, produced for Target, was performed four times including once on the Today show.

Also in New York City, Sapsis provided the rigging for the Lincoln Center Festival's production of Le Dernier Caravanserail. The rig, which consisted of a 10-leg self-climbing truss system, was built inside a tent at Damrosch Park on the south side of Lincoln Center.

TOMCAT 2006 Workshops

Dates have been announced for TOMCAT's Hoist and Rigging Workshop 2006. The annual school includes sessions on hoist, rigging, truss, and fall protection taught by experts. Workshops run March 1 to 4 in Midland, Texas. For the second year, TOMCAT will also host an Advanced Workshop, March 3 and 4, covering hoist motors and truss design. Bandit Lites Illuminates NBA

When the NBA playoff finals took to the courts in Detroit, Michigan and San Antonio, Texas, lighting designer Randy Nordstrom and the NBA production team was ready with a lighting package supplied by Bandit Lites.

"My hat goes off to all the production staff involved in the NBA finals" said Bandit Lites VP Mike Golden of the team which quickly surveyed the final venues and detailed their equipment needs.

The final lighting package included 26 VL3000 spot luminaires, six VL2500 spot luminaires, 28 Mac 2000 wash units, eight Mac 600 united, 54 ETC Source 4 units, two GrandMA lighting control consoles, along with Electrol and CD80 digital dimmers.
