Kirkegaard Associates Consult in Michigan

When the Hill Auditorium at the University of Michigan reopened after a 20-month $38.6-million renovation, in addition to the restored paint and decorative lighting, patrons were able to benefit from the removal of aural distractions. Kirkegaard Associates served as acoustics consultants on the project which preserved the room acoustic conditions of Hill Auditorium but added new, quiet mechanical systems. New loudspeaker systems, a mix of state-of-the-art steerable and passive line array technologies, and extensive cabling infrastructure provide support for all types of performances and events.

Show Distribution Adds Sebastian Richard

Sebastian Richard has been named to the newly-created position of marketing director at Show Distribution Group, Inc. President Jacques Tanguay said “Entertainment business is based on reputation...And to create a reputation, you must be seen, heard, tried.” Mr. Richard will be able to create both visual and auditive contents relevant to entertainment rigging, Mr. Tanguay said, since he has been controlling VarioLifts and VarioTrolleys, the company's variable speed motors. High End Goes On Air

When On-Air with Ryan Seacrest debuted in January, High End Systems' new ColorCommand was in the set. The company notes that since the television show focuses on hip new trends in entertainment/pop culture, it is appropriate that its newest product be used. John Conti of John Conti Lighting Design specified the dichroic color-changing PAR/washlight after seeing a demo at High End's Los Angeles office.
