USITT Provides Support for Exciting Innovations

Elynmarie Kazle
VP for Membership & Development

It is an extraordinary time to be a member of USITT. As membership continued to grow during the last fiscal year, a number of interesting opportunities became available for the Institute to make major contributions to the entertainment industry.

Two of the newest initiatives in which USITT has become involved are Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP) with ESTA and the upcoming special event in 2005, World Stage Design. These two efforts fit solidly into the organization's mission to actively promote the education and advancement of its members. USITT has made commitments to each of these with member expertise on the leadership groups as well as financial assistance. By participating in a solid training effort with ESTA and by bringing the world to our doorstep through World Stage Design, USITT offers its members the opportunity to compete and to grow on the national and world stage.

The Board of USITT has made a solid commitment to these important efforts. This, in turn, means members have contributed through active participation in Institute activities, membership dollars, and additional contributions both personal and financial to the programming and advancement efforts in which USITT is actively involved.

The Board appreciates each member's participation and continued interest. Please take some time to learn more about these important programs and the others we all support. It is through the work of many that USITT remains strong.
