For the Record

Henry Tharp, a Fellow of the Institute and an outstanding supporter of the organization, had his special license plate featured in the 30th anniversary celebration of USITT in 1990. When the Executive Committee visited Kansas City in 2000, he was still sporting the same message. That's staying power. The license plate pictured here is from Missouri, but it could be from any of the states in the US or Mexico, the provinces in Canada - or any of the 40 other countries around the world where USITT members live!

Welcome to The Last Word

Ever wanted to have the last word?

Ever finally wrap up an event or venture and want to show it to your fellow professionals?

Ever gotten the urge to wax poetic on almost any topic?

And then wondered what in heck to do with the end result?

Welcome to the "Last Word,” a place for all those unusual projects which really don't fit anywhere else. With the new electronic version of Sightlines a reality, the publication will be able to highlight a different project or essay each month. The subject is limitless, as long as it can be portrayed in both print and electronic format.

So take advantage of the possibility of color on the web. Find a new outlet for that reminiscence. Try out a new media.

Editor Barbara E.R. Lucas looks forward to working with a broad spectrum of writers, photographers, poets, designers, and managers to bring this new feature to life. Please contact her at barbara@office.usitt.org or call 800-938-7488.
