Ohio Valley: Section Announces Elections, Holds Spring Event
The Ohio Valley Regional Section announced the results of its recent election. All officers and board members will serve a two-year term ending in June 2014.
The winners are:
- Jeff Gress, Chair;
- Meg Haven, Vice-Chair of Programming;
- John Seaman, Treasurer; and
- Melanie Mortimore, Jim Summerfield, Jack Gallagher, and Gina Gass, Board Members at Large.
The Section's Spring Event took place June 29 and 30 at the Kent State University – Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Fourteen OVS members attended the two-day, OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Outreach Training. Dave Glowacki, production manager of the PAC and an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer, led the workshop. He also serves as USITT Health & Safety Commissioner.
During the two days, participants covered topics ranging from Walking and Working Surfaces to Electrical Safety and Personal Protective Equipment. OVS thanks Mr. Glowacki and everyone at KSU Tuscarawas for hosting this session and providing essential safety information to members.
