Firm Rigs Saudi Arabia University Theatres
When Princess Nora bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, opens its campus to students early in 2012, its three theatres will be equipped with J. R. Clancy, Inc. rigging systems.
Within what will be the world's largest university for women is a theatre complex with a 2,500-seat performance hall, a 700-seat drama theatre, and a black box theatre for lectures and small productions. While each theater has unique requirements, the contractor sought a single, proven supplier that could manufacture the complete package of under- and over-stage rigging for all three venues. Clancy's broad equipment portfolio and international experience in managing projects of the largest scale earned the company this project.

Launches Media Services Group with Acquisition
Production Resource Group, L.L.C. (PRG), has acquired New York-based Pow! Pix. The acquisition marks PRG's entry into the rental of post-production equipment and services specializing in on-site editing for live event and other broadcasts.

Releases Control Software Version
ETC released v1.9.5 software for the Eos family of control (Eos, Ion, and Element). This software release adds several major functions to Eos and Ion, and new features to the whole family.
The software can be downloaded from either the product pages on ETC's website. A series of three videos explaining the new features of v1.9.5 is available on the product pages, or in ETC's YouTube library.
Dura-Flex is REACH Compliant
Creative Stage Lighting Co., Inc. recently announced Dura-Flex meets REACH environmental and safety standards.
REACH, the European environmental safety standard, restricts harmful and hazardous materials including polychlorinatedterphenyls, polybromobiphenyls, and polybrominatedbiphenyls.
