ESTA Awards Announced ESTA (Entertainment Services and Technology Association) has announced the winners of its 2004 Dealers' and Manufacturers' Choice Awards. The Dealers' Choice Customer Service Awards offer ESTA's dealer members the opportunity to publicly recognize those manufacturers that provide consistently good customer service. Awards are given in three categories based on number of employees (one to six, seven to 25, and over 25). The winners for 2004 were: Doug Fleenor Design, Inc.; City Theatrical; and Apollo Design Technology, Inc. The Manufacturers' Choice Dealers of the Year Awards offer ESTA's manufacturer members the opportunity to publicly recognize those dealers that "just do it right." Manufacturers votes for dealers in each of three categories: one to six, seven to 25, and over 25 employees. Winners were: Murphy Lighting Systems; Parlights, Inc.; and Vincent Lighting Systems. The Dealers' Choice Product Awards recognize outstanding entertainment technology products in three categories: expendable, widget, and equipment. The winners for 2004 are: Expendable Category - EZ Kleen Preventative Maintenance Fluid from Le Maitre Special Effects; Widget Category - Remote Addressing Device (RAD) from Doug Fleenor Design, Inc.; and Equipment Category - SafeCam from Union Connector Company. The Customer Service and Dealer of the Year Awards were presented at ESTA's Annual Dinner held in conjunction with the ETS-LDI 2004 show on Thursday, October 21, and the Product Awards were presented during the ETS-LDI 2004 awards ceremony on Saturday, October 23.
