Entertainment Technology Steps Outside |
When Toronto's Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts opened with a night of outdoor opera broadcast live in Nathan Phillips Square, Entertainment Technology's Marquee ILC lighting console was there to assist. Lighting Designer/Director Jason Jennings was given a one-on-one demonstration of the Marquee ILC by Robert Bell, who designed its software. Robert Ford of William F. White International, the company which arranged the demo, said "When Jason and Rob got together, they instantly began to feed off one another's energy and expertise. It was fun to watch. During the demo, Mr. Jennings showed Mr. Bell how there might be some effects engine updates that could be useful to the film industry." With the two collaborating in Toronto, the Marquee software team began building the effects engines and the updates were completed and uploaded in only three days.
