TMB Rescues Robin Hood, Returns to PLASA

TMB's renowned hospitality was again found at PLASA 2006. Product highlights included PAR 16 and track-mount models, new to the DecoPAR range of fixtures; high and low resolution modules, as well as touring versions, of the ColourPix range of LED systems; Falcon high-power, compact fixtures for architectural and portable use from Alpha One of Germany; Interactive Technologies' new CueServer playback processor; ProPower's HPS 24- and 48-way Hot Patch Systems portable power distribution; the new ProTester compact DMX signal and cable tester and the full featured Interactive Technologies Micro-tech DMX tester; and the Endura Light LED Fibre Optic Illuminators.

Bruce Finn, who has multiple Emmy awards as a Director of Photography, was at the TMB stand demonstrating the latest exciting and innovative film/TV lighting products from FinnLight.

TOMCAT Workshop, Equipment on the Road

Recognized worldwide as the most comprehensive training course of its kind, the TOMCAT Hoist and Rigging Workshop will now be offered outside of Midland, Texas.

TOMCAT USA will hold a workshop October 18 and 19, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of the LDInstitute. More information is available at www.ldishow.com. Registration already is open for this course.

Wybron Names New CEO

Wybron, Inc. recently announced that Larry Turner was appointed chief executive officer. Mr. Turner brings with him more than 25 years of high-technology business experience with companies that include Bell & Howell and Canon.

He goes to Wybron from BancTec, Inc., a corporation focused on business process outsourcing and professional services. He was responsible for running the services division and driving customer satisfaction to an all time high.

Prior to BancTec, Mr. Turner was CEO of Francotyp-Postalia Inc., a North American subsidiary of a European office solutions company. He also held a number of marketing, product management, and business management positions at Bell & Howell, Inc. and Canon USA. Mr. Turner has an MBA from Northern Illinois University and a bachelor's degree in marketing from DePaul University.

Altman Rentals Expands Staff

Altman Rentals welcomes Sabrina Asquith to its staff as a rental agent. Her focus will be on working with many existing clients as well as introducing the company's services to new clients.

Prior to joining Altman Rentals, Ms. Asquith worked in sales and customer service for City Theatrical, Inc. She is a graduate of SUNY-Purchase Conservatory of Theatre Arts and Film Design Technology with a lighting design focus.
