On Saturday, January 29, 2005, the Mt. Vernon Senior High School Chapter of USITT hosted 50 technical theatre students, educators, and professionals for a theatrical rigging seminar with Bill Sapsis of Sapsis Rigging, Inc. The seminar was held at The Centre in Evansville, Indiana. Underwriters for the event were the Evansville Public Education Foundation,  IATSE Local 102, Mt. Vernon High School USITT Student Chapter, SMG, University of Evansville, and University of Southern Indiana.
