Rosco Shows Prototype

A new lighting instrument prototype, designed by Dialight Corporation and marketed by Rosco Laboratories, Inc., is said to be the first solid state instrument to offer the advantages of a hard edge beam, shutters, and sharp gobo projection capabilities with specifiable, repeatable Rosco colors matched to the Roscolux and E-Colour swatch books. The prototype was shown at ETS-LDI 2004 and should be available within a year. The instrument is powered by a solid state LED engine array, and will produce an output of about 6,000 lumens so that gobos and ImagePro slides may be projected with clarity expected of modern instruments.
