USITT Board Enters New Era

USITT’s Board of Directors successfully entered a new era by conducting its first web-based Board of Directors meeting on June 18, 2010. More than two dozen board members and National Office staff participated in the meeting where new policies for USITT’s Standing Committees were approved. (The policies may be viewed here). The Board of Directors has increased the number of required meetings from two to a minimum of four meetings per year. The web-based format and increased number of meetings allows the Board to conduct Institute business in a more timely manner.

The next Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Friday afternoon August 13, and will again be a web-based event. All meetings are open to the membership and anyone who would like to call in and listen may do so by contacting Shannan in the National office at More specific information will be available in the August Sightlines.
