2009 Officer Election Results Announced Patricia Dennis USITT Secretary With the close of electronic voting, the tallying of paper ballots and the official certification of the tally, USITT's 2009 election process was concluded on Saturday, January 10 under the auspices of the Secretary and Past Presidents Sylvia Hillyard Pannell and William J. Byrnes. The Institute is truly grateful for those who were willing to run in this election, and also thanks members for their willingness to take the time to evaluate the candidates and vote to determine the leadership of the organization. Joe Aldridge will assume the office of President-Elect on July 1, 2009 and will then serve a two-year term as President beginning July 1, 2010. Other officers, all of whom will serve two-year terms, are: Patricia Dennis - Secretary, Kim Williamson -Vice-President for Commissions, David Will -Vice-President for Conferences, and Alexandra Bonds -Vice-President for International Activities. Ms. Dennis, Ms. Williamson, and Ms. Bonds were re-elected. Mr. Will will succeed Mr. Aldridge, who is currently VP-Conferences. Elected as Directors at Large to serve three year terms are: William Browning, Jonathan Darling, Linda Essig, Mitch Hefter, Martha Marking, and Kim Scott. All terms of office will begin July 1, 2009. Warmest congratulations are offered to those who will begin or continue service as Officers and Directors at Large! Although this election cycle has just been completed, the process begins again for future officers and Directors at Large.
