Conference & Stage Expo

USITT 2017 Destination -- St. Louis, MO

Save the dates of March 8 to 11 when the Institute returns to St. Louis, MO after more than 40 years for the 57th Annual Conference & Stage Expo to find the city bigger and better than ever.

Here’s a video of city sights and five things to know about St. Louis:

  1. St. Louis is the birthplace of the ice cream cone, created at the World’s Fair in 1904.
  2. It is home to the nation’s oldest and biggest brewery, Anheuser-Busch – and now a growing craft brew haven.
  3. Its trademark local foods are toasted ravioli, gooey-butter cake, and provel cheese, a creamy combo of cheddar, Swiss, and provolone.
  4. Its landmark is the 630-foot Gateway Arch, the world’s tallest arch, completed on the west bank of the Mississippi River in 1965.
  5. It’s also home to American rap artist Nelly, whose song “Country Grammar” boasts “I’m from the Lou, and I’m proud!”
