Save the dates of March 8 to 11 when the Institute returns to St. Louis, MO after more than 40 years for the 57th Annual Conference & Stage Expo to find the city bigger and better than ever.
Here’s a video of city sights and five things to know about St. Louis:
- St. Louis is the birthplace of the ice cream cone, created at the World’s Fair in 1904.
- It is home to the nation’s oldest and biggest brewery, Anheuser-Busch – and now a growing craft brew haven.
- Its trademark local foods are toasted ravioli, gooey-butter cake, and provel cheese, a creamy combo of cheddar, Swiss, and provolone.
- Its landmark is the 630-foot Gateway Arch, the world’s tallest arch, completed on the west bank of the Mississippi River in 1965.
- It’s also home to American rap artist Nelly, whose song “Country Grammar” boasts “I’m from the Lou, and I’m proud!”
