USITT's Annual Conference offers a unique opportunity for those seeking employment and those who have positions which need to be filled. Among the thousands of design and technical professionals attending the Conference will be those who are available for new professional or educational opportunities. There also will be students seeking internships or assistantships, and still other people exploring options for summer opportunities. At the same time, businesses, entertainment venues, colleges, universities, and performing arts organizations may be looking for new employees. It's a conundrum, but one which USITT is prepared to solve. As part of the upcoming Houston 2008 Conference & Stage Expo, USITT is offering an Employment Service which will assist in matching available positions with qualified applicants. Interviews will be scheduled at the convenience of both job seekers and employers from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 20; Friday, March 21; and Saturday, March 22 at the Hilton Americas - Houston. This is a fee-based service, and both applicants and employers are urged to register before March 10. It will be possible to register onsite, but the cost will increase.
The form must be returned with payment to the USITT office. Additional information -- including job descriptions, location, starting data, responsibilities, and qualifications -- should be e-mailed to Mike Monsos at michael.monsos@umontana.edu. Applicants should send a resume or CV to Mr. Monsos and bring a resume, portfolio representing their best work, and a list of references to any scheduled interviews. The USITT Conference Employment Service is a benefit for USITT members, and all applications must include a USITT member number. All those wishing to participate are urged to submit their forms by March 10, 2008. |
