Kurt Kern has joined Vincent Lighting Systems (VLS) where he will concentrate on theatrical end users in northern Ohio and Indiana, western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. He most recently was with TMB in that company’s New York office.
In another change, Vincent has promoted J.R. Simons to product manager in its Cleveland office, replacing Cindi Manning who is no longer with the company. Mr. Simon joined the inside sales team at Vincent in 1998 and serves on the Ohio State Board of the Educational Theatre Association. He is very involved in local high school and children’s theatre and directs community theatre productions across Northern Ohio.
VLS also announced that Bright Focus Sales, Inc. will assume responsibility as the manufacturer’s rep for many of the commercial lighting products currently represented by Vincent. Greg Shick, who has almost 20 years experience in the specifications marketplace, will head Bright Focus Sales and operate it as a separate entity. “Bright Focus Sales and VLS will be close partners using the strengths of both companies to better serve these common markets,” the company said.
