Following the success of its inaugural Regional Conference and Stage Expo, the Heart of America Regional Section is already planning its second annual event. The conference is set for September 10 to 12, 2004 at Johnson County Community College in Kansas City.

The centerpiece of the event will be a three-part presentation on Scenic Art, to be hosted by Lance and Bruce Brockman. There will be a slide lecture on the history of Scenic Art in the area, followed by a hands-on workshop on Saturday. On Sunday there will be a driving tour of several significant Scottish Rite temples and murals in the Kansas City area.
